#223 - The Irony...
Bush must surely see now whatever god he believed in really wasn't on his side after all what with all this mess he'll never hope to clean up (more money for Haliburton, though! Hooray!). Hurricane Rita is starting to eat Texas for breakfast after Katrina wreaked havoc on New Orleans a little while ago. We are already in the R's, and the record is 21. We still have two more months to go... Thousands of people trapped on the highway trying to evacuate will most likely be wormfood soon. I wonder if they will survive, packed up like sardines that way... At any rate the officials were fools: they should have put both lanes of the highway for outbound only and set the incomings to smaller sideroads so there wouldn't be this kind of pileup and thus eliminate the easy food for Rita. At any rate, Bush has his goose cooked after Katrina, after Rita. Let's just hope there are no casualties after this like in Katrina. Another war he cannot win. EDIT: As of now Ballbreaker Rita is headed for the oil refineries...whatever will they do?

Oh yeah for sure, the weather's pretty crazy lately. They're forcasting this kind of weather for the next 20 years or so. I hope if that's the case people realize that living in those areas really isn't the best idea. And hell, this will kill off a lot of the tourism too I think.
As for Bush...yeah, it still makes me grin. Not because there may be fatalities or the damage the 'canes will do, but purely because of Bush's own pre-Iraq words: That god's on his side. So much for that. Will the lower NA continent survive 20+ more years of this kind of thing? Also, isn't it kind of interesting how they blame god for all the good things that happen in life yet claim disasters are "mother nature."
I can understand your sentiments for Bush. I don't know his motives but I do know it is hard to see that God is good in this world isn't it? Did you know that we live in a time which is growing short that we can open our hearts up to the Living God and recieve His Holy Spirit and have all of our sins washed away because of His blood atonement that was extracted from Him on the Cross? My friend we all have an opportunity to lose ourselves in the living eternal God, through Jesus Christ his son with the gift of His Holy Spirit. For many of us God Himself is misunderstood, but it is because of our own sins that we hide from him. Friend did you know that he created you to Glorify Himself but we fell short of that glory when we sinned. You can be re-stored to Him if you call on the Name of Jesus Christ(Yeshua Messiah- in Hebrew) This may seem hard to believe but it is true.
Condensed version: You can just as easily say there are tea kettles orbiting mars but the likelyhood is slim. As Dawkins said, we might not be able to prove there isn't a god just as you cannot prove there is, but there's such a thing as probability.
