You have got to be fucking kidding me. Attempt #2. It seems Michael Brown has been let go from his position of on-site hurricane Katrina relief. I saw the newsticker on CNN stating "BROWN REMOVED!" But he wasn't after all. He was merely sent back to Washington instead to continue to oversee the relief efforts while Coast Guard Vice Adm. Thad W. Allen oversees the on-site duties. Other than this human disaster which followed the natural disaster, it seems Brown also padded his own resume to make it appear like he had more power and a higher position than he really did. For instance, he claimed that he was assistant city manager but really he was the assistant to the city manager (trust me it makes sense). He was more of a gopher than an authority figure, in other words. A secretery. Apparently this kind of resume padding is common practice with people seeking work. Very scary indeed. The worst part is the Bush adminsitration failed to do a background check, the one thing any employer should do. When someone hands in a resume you should always look and see for yourself if the things written are entirely true. You don't want a bunch of liars on your workforce do you? And for a job that has so much responsibility attached, such as the head of FEMA, a check would be the least they could do to assure to themselves and the people that they would be in good, experienced hands when a disaster such as Katrina has her way. It's very sad. It's not looking good for Bush. In fact it seems to be a pretty fast decline. I don't think he cares anymore. The Bush adminstration is the hardest job...to get fired from.
