I am sorry dad, I know this is horrible of me to do to you publicly, but I must, because I am the vile son that sent you to your grave to begin with and I am a deranged psychopath from a lot of shit like this in my life. I will bold things I find a little strange. I may scan the pages themselves at some point. Here goes nothing. Anteriorly, there were multiple abrasions at the pressure points of the weave of the belt. The mark was located above the thyroid and the furrow was rising at the point of suspension. The face was pale and there were no petechiae present. Internally there were no hemorrhages in the neck muscles and the soft tissues. No bones or cartilages were fractured. The mark was 2.7cm which was maximum on the right side and 2cm on the left side of the neck. INTERNAL EXAMINATION: Face and neck: Pale face. Oral Cavity: _ Tongue: Protruding right tongue. Subarachnoid Space: Unremarkable. Cerebral Arteries: Unremarkable. Cerebral Veins/Sinuses: Unremarkable. Brain Weight: 1520g. The brain is fixed in formalin for gross neuropathological examination (See neuropathology report below) External Examination: The dura was not submitted for examination. The vessels of the circle of Willis showed no significant atherosclerosis. The brain was not atrophic (they say schizophrenia shrinks the brain, but yet...). The leptomeninges were minimally opaque over the convexities of the cerebral hemispheres. There was mild artefactual laceration at the junction of the mid brain and pons on the right. Internal Examination: Serial coronal sections through the brain revealed mild to moderate hydrocephalus secondary to aqueductal stenosis ? etiology (WTF!?). The mammillary bodies were grossly normal. Mildly prominent vessels were noted throughout. No other gross abnormalities were seen. Representitive sections were submitted as follows: Cassette A - mid brain. Cassette B - left cerebellum. Cassette C - left lenticular nucleus. Cassette D - right hippocampus. Cassette E, F, G - aqueductal stenosis (L. Tetreault/V. Montpetit, M.D.) Vertebratal Column: _ Spinal Cord: Not examined. MICROSCOPIC AND LABORATORY FINDINGS: BONE MARROW (A): No significant pathological abnormality. THYROID/ADRENAL (B), LIVER/SPLEEN (G), PROSTATE/TESTIS (I), RIGHT AND LEFT LUNG (D, C): All these sections show no significant pathological abnormality, however there is extensive acute passive congestion. HEART, right ventricle (K) anterior septum with LAD (E) and posterior papillary muscle (F): There is extensive passive congestion. The LAD shows mild atherosclerosis with focal calcification. KIDNEY/PANCREAS (H): There is a focal tubular calcification in the kidney. Marked congestion is seen in both kidney and pancreas. MESENTERY (J) The mesenteric lymph node shows lipophagic granulomas. Grossly the mesentery was exuding a large amount of milky fluid. The sections show markedly dilated lymphatic channels with some containing vacuolated amorphous material. BRAIN: Sections from the mid brain, cerebellum, hippocampus and the lenticular nucleus show mainly vascular congestion. Sections from the aqueduct (2G, E, F) show no significant narrowing of the aqueduct. TOXICOLOGY: See CFS report Lab File No. 6261-97 BY. Summary Of Findings: - Cause Of Death: I hereby certify that I have examined this body, have opened and examined the above noted cavities and organs as indicated and, that in my opinion the cause of death was: NECK COMPRESSION (HANGING) BY BELT SUSPENSION __________________ February 02, 1998. __________________ V. It says your dad had Hydrocephalus (an accomulus of liquid in the cerebral area, due to aqueductal stenosis (hardening of the small piping the brain has for the drainage of the liquid that floats around the brain and meninges).
Thanks, from what you said I finally looked it up. What I saw was freaky. "Acquired hydrocephalus may result from intraventricular hemorrhage, meningitis, head trauma, tumors and cysts." It's all making me wonder whether he died truly from his own hand, or from a result of this crap in his brain. Grr.
He did tell me years ago that he was jumped and smashed in the head with a 2x4. Maybe that's what screwed his brain (laceration) and made him die... I should talk to the coroners about this.
